Tritona DH WWII German Military Wehrmacht NOS

TRITONA DH designates a specialized production range of waterproof service watches, manufactured by Hoeter & Cie / Compagnie des Montres Brémon Hoeter SA, based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Founded in 1872, it established itself as an expert in the production of water-resistant timepieces as early as the 1930s.

The Tritona brand, alongside older names such as Tona or Teutonia, forms one of the first ranges specializing in waterproofing.
The DH designation identifies watches produced under a military contract for the German Wehrmacht forces between 1939 and 1944.

The case backs were engraved with the words "Stahlboden" and "Wasserdicht", attesting respectively to a steel back and a watertight construction meeting the requirements of the German army.

We are in the presence of a NOS model. An extremely rare example, especially in this state of preservation.
Watch from a watchmaking fund intended for the German armed forces, never worn .
Its age, however, still results in minor defects due to its transport and storage, sometimes in precarious conditions, particularly during the conflict period.
