Laco Type Tank Pilot - WWII German Military N.O.S.

Magnificent example from the German manufacturer Laco, dating from the 1930s-1940s.

Founded in 1925 in Pforzheim by Frieda Lacher and Ludwig Hummel, Laco initially specialized in dial manufacturing before producing its own precision movements from 1933 onwards.

The brand gained historical renown during World War II by becoming one of the five official suppliers of observation watches (Fliegeruhren) for German aviation. Along with Stowa, IWC, Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, and Wempe in Hamburg.

We are looking at a N.O.S. model. This watch has never been worn or distributed. It was part of a watchmaker's stock, with other examples intended for the German forces. A rare specimen, due to its finish, its shades, and its perfectly matched curves.

A watch whose age still results in tiny micro-defects due to its transport and storage for nearly 100 years.

Only the strap has been changed.
