Arsa Type Calatrava Grey Dial Two Tone - Military WWII N.O.S (Auguste Reymond)
Exceptional example from the ARSA (Auguste Reymond SA) manufacture, dating from the 1930s-1940s.
In 1918, the company became a SA (public limited company) and was named Manufacture d’horlogerie A. Reymond SA.
Auguste Reymond was the chairman of the board of directors.
In 1921, A. Reymond SA registered the brands ARSA and SILVANA.
The Auguste Reymond SA manufacture then offered 3 different ranges distributed across their different brands:
- "Silvana" was oriented towards the economical watch range.
- "Speranza" represented the mid-range.
- "Arsa" represented the high-end of the manufacture.
We are in the presence of an example from the 1930s-40s, in N.O.S. condition.
This example was part of a watch stock, some other examples of which were intended for German forces. They were never worn or distributed.
A watch whose age still causes infinitesimal micro-defects due to its transport and storage for nearly 100 years.
