Aquastar Genève 63 - 1903 Diver 1960s
A magnificent example of this legendary watch. From the house of Jean Richard, of which Aquastar was a spin-off.
Aquastar was born after Jean Richard SA filed a patent for a diving watch with an integrated rotating bezel, and it was also one of the first watches to boast a water resistance rating of 200 meters.
The 63 was launched in the mid-1960s and was marketed to a targeted audience: divers.
It stood out for its lower cost at the time compared to its competitors, featuring a rotating bezel system that was activated by the crown.
The crown thus plays a dual role: winding the mechanism and adjusting the internal bezel.
The model presented here is in excellent preserved condition, although it does have some micro-flaws.
