LIP T18 - Art Deco First Generation 1930s N.O.S

A magnificent example from a renowned French manufacturer: LIP.

LIP awarded its new in-house caliber and the watch it equipped the reference T18, where T stands for tonneau and 18 for the movement's width in millimeters.

Movement developed by André Donat, then an engineer at SA Lipman Frères.

Endowed with remarkable aesthetics, the T18 also benefits from rigorous design and high-quality assembly.
Some of its versions would receive Chronometer certification issued by the Besançon Chronometric Observatory.

The LIP T18 is a cornerstone in LIP's history.

The model presented is part of the first generation of T18s.
This piece dates approximately from the 1930s, never worn, showing some imperfections due to its storage and transport through the ages.
The watch is entirely original, with the exception of the strap which has been replaced by a new slatted strap.
