LIP T18 - 1940s-50s

Magnificent example from a French manufacturer that needs no introduction: LIP.

Lip awards its new manufacture caliber and the watch it equips the reference T18 for T = tonneau and 18 = the width in millimeters of the movement.

Movement developed by André Donat, then an engineer at SA Lipman Frères.

Boasting remarkable aesthetics, the T18 also benefits from rigorous design and high-quality assembly.
Some of its versions will benefit from Chronometer certification issued by the Chronometric Observatory of Besançon.

The LIP T18 is a cornerstone of LIP's history.

The model shown is part of the range from the first generation of T18.
This example dates from approximately the 1930s, has never been worn, and shows some minor imperfections due to its storage and transport over the years.
The watch is entirely original, except for the strap which has been replaced with a new black strap bracelet.
