Junghans: The German Watchmaking Giant

Manufacture founded in 1861 in Schramberg by Erhard Junghans and Jakob Zeller Tobler. Initially a manufacturer of watch parts, Junghans later ventured into wristwatch production following its growth.

This example, dating from 1935, was intended for the German forces, of the Tank-Art Deco type, with magnificent shapes and exceptional finish.

We have here a N.O.S. model. An extremely rare model, especially in this state of preservation. A watch from a watchmaker's stock intended for the German armed forces, never worn. Unpolished, entirely original, original tag present.

Movement serviced, optimal amplitudes and deviations.

Case dimensions: 38mm (lug to lug) / 24mm (with crown)

Chromed metal case, original and intact.
Brushed steel snap-on case back, intact.
Curvex type case.

Champagne-beige dial.
Patinated gilt Arabic numeral hour markers.
Railroad minute track. Blued leaf-style hands.
Small seconds at 6 o'clock.

Original black genuine leather lattice strap.
Original steel pin buckle.
Period tag still present.

A miracle of preservation for this model dating from 1935.
