Baume & Mercier Calatrava Bauhaus - Oversize Case 1950s N.O.S
A magnificent example from the Swiss manufacturer Baume & Mercier, dating from the 1950s.
Approximate production date: 1954.
The model presented is in N.O.S condition, never worn, and still has its original tag and original case back protector.
This piece is an integral part of the Bauhaus-inspired designs, combining refinement and clean lines characteristic of the period's design within the Baume & Mercier house.
This example belongs to a period when standards tended towards smaller case sizes. Baume & Mercier then offered a "Large Case" type case, breaking away from the typical wristwatches of the 1930s-40s.
We are in the presence of an N.O.S model; its age still entails minuscule flaws due to its transport over the years, but it remains in an almost irreproachable condition. An extremely rare model, even more so in this state. Unpolished, entirely original, original tag still present.
