Arsa Extra Type Calatrava - Military N.O.S (Auguste Reymond)

An exceptional example from the ARSA (Auguste Reymond SA) manufacture, dating from the late 1940s to early 1950s, in an absolutely magnificent configuration.

In 1918, the company became a public limited company (SA) and was named Manufacture d’horlogerie A. Reymond SA. Auguste Reymond was its chairman of the board.

In 1921, A. Reymond SA registered the brands ARSA and SILVANA.
The Auguste Reymond SA manufacture then offered 3 different ranges under its various brands:
- "Silvana" was oriented towards the economic watch range.
- "Speranza" represented the mid-range.
- "Arsa" represented the high-end of the manufacture.

We have here an example from the 40s-50s, in N.O.S. (New Old Stock) condition.
This piece was part of a watchmaker's stock, some other models of which were intended for German forces. They were never worn or distributed.

A watch whose age still results in tiny micro-defects due to its transport and storage for nearly 100 years.
Original labels still present.

Movement serviced, optimal deviations and amplitudes.

Case dimensions: 31mm (excluding crown) / 32.5mm (with crown)

Brushed metal case, intact.
Chromed metal bezel.
Stainless steel case back.
"Faceted Lugs" type lugs, slightly curved.

Black dial, magnificent.
Light beige, gilded Arabic numeral indexes.
Small seconds at 6 o'clock, gilded small seconds index.
"Thick" type gilded hands.

Slat-style, genuine leather strap, original, black with mint-green stitching, magnificent appearance (showing micro-imperfections at the lug-to-lug)
Metal pin buckle.

An extremely rare example in such a state of preservation, both aesthetically and mechanically.
